revising department store pricing strategies

Both JCPenney and Sears Canada have recently launched new everday value strategies, lowering the pricepoints on many products and reducing the number of promotions on the product.  They've embarked on a long-term strategy to alter the way consumers shop, and although initial results have been slow the industry continues to watch closely for upside.
